An entrepreneurial leader for entrepreneurial organizations.
With his extensive experience working in dynamic, fast-paced business environments where agility, creativity, and adaptability are critical to success, Peter specializes in helping startups, small businesses, and other entrepreneurial ventures grow and succeed.
Peter’s first ten-years of work experience were spent with Ogilvy & Mather and DDB global advertising agencies where he honed his skills in branding, creative, production, and client management. From that strong foundation, in 2001 Peter pursued his dream to start and agency of his own by founding Fathom Communications (part of the Omnicom Group), with a mission to help companies build deeper connections with their customers. As agency CEO, Peter led Fathom's growth to three offices, over 70 employees, and a diverse client roster comprised of companies including AutoZone, ExxonMobil, Hasbro, FiatChrysler, LG, NBC Universal, PepsiCo, and Washington Mutual.
Through the agency’s work with these clients, and many others along the way, Fathom garnered a reputation for helping companies exceed their business goals through highly disruptive and effective marketing campaigns that rose above the limitations of traditional campaign and channel thinking.
In 2019, Peter left the agency industry to pursue a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to guide a medical device company, called Q30 Innovations, from research and development work to brand and product commercialization. As the company's first CMO, Peter played a leading role in helping to realize its marketplace mission of reducing brain injuries on the sports field and the battlefield.
Peter is also a co-founder of the Serve America Movement (SAM), a start-up political advocacy organization. As a member of SAM’s Board of Directors, Peter actively supported the organization’s 2022 merger with two leading democracy-reform groups and served as the interim CMO to guide the public launch of the newly formed entity, called the Forward Party.
Drawing on combined experiences as agency leader, client CMO, and political advocacy advisor, Peter is currently focused on providing senior leadership, brand vision, and marketing strategy for entrepreneurial and purpose-driven organizations and advising business and issue advocacy leaders on strategies to lead and succeed in an increasingly politicized and polarized world.
Peter is a graduate of Hamilton College and has received additional executive education through Harvard Business School’s Owner, President, Management Program and Omnicom University’s Senior Executive Program.
